When I moved into the area in 2020 I was looking for a new kennel for when I needed to travel without my dog. One place I called went on and on and sounded wonderful until I said she was a pit mix. Very quickly the attitude changed. I was worried she I couldn't find a place that would love her like we do. But then I found Julie at Oakwood Kennels. We have boarded our Golden Retriever/Bernese Mountain Dog mix at Oakwood Kennel for years with confidence. Aside from that expert care, Oakwood has provided wonderful and much-needed grooming for our dog with her long, thick hair. The owner and her caring team have always been friendly and professional, and the care and treatment they have provided for our dog has always been nothing short of exemplary excellence.
