I have been going to the same nurse practitioner at this place for a long long time she is amazing and her name is nurse practitioner Cherise varner she doesn't just put a Band-Aid on something she actually goes down and finds out what's going on and what is causing the symptoms
Pediatrician Gawrys-Strand is great and deserves 5 stars, but the nurses here are hit or miss. Most have been amazing, but we’ve had really bad experiences with two nurses here so far. One nurse, a few months ago, kept making pretty rude and insensitive comments about how she “could never do twins” and “better you than me” and “twins would be the worst” as if she wasn’t talking about my actual children who I love dearly. A separate nurse during our most recent visit dropped one of my baby’s head (while I was holding her twin) on the edge of the metal scale! I’m still angry about this and don’t know what to do. The first impression I had of the doctor was terrible and I didn’t want to go back. Being on Medicaid, choices are very limited. I was forced to stay because I couldn’t find anywhere else accepting new patients. Now, I love the doctor. He really does care about his patients. My daughter missed an appointment without rescheduling and he told me about it so that I can get her to come in, of course, after checking to make sure it was ok to discuss her medical issues with me. Then, I unknowingly missed an appointment and he had the nurse call me to reschedule. He’s the ONLY doctor that I have ever had who seemed to actually care.
