About Mentor Community Recreation Center
Mentor Community Recreation Center (MCRC) is a large facility offering a variety of amenities. It includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools, basketball courts, a soccer field, and courts for tennis, racquetball, and pickleball. The center also provides a gym with cardiovascular and weight training equipment, group exercise rooms, and a childcare room. MCRC has recently undergone a remodel, resulting in updated and well-maintained facilities. Guests praise the friendly staff, ample parking, and fitness classes. The center offers both day passes and memberships. MCRC also has community rooms available for rent, which include pool access. While the community rooms are clean and well-staffed, some users have suggested a longer rental timeframe.
i love this gym, all the employees are so friendly except one that works the front desk in the morning. Cindy is so rude and not friendly at all to anybody, experiencing her myself plenty of times considering I prefer morning gym time, and experienced it again towards my sister as she was getting a day pass. I didn’t even have to tell my sister how rude Cindy was prior because she immediately caught on to the type of person she is. It’s not even like a once in a while bad day thing, she is rude EVERY DAY to EVERYONE. Personally I feel as if Cindy should not be working the front desk if she can not make people feel welcome.
Great gym/rec center...especially for the value. Formally the Heisley Racquet Club...it has all the racquet sports including tennis, pickleball and racquetball. There is also 2 basketball courts, indoor soccer, indoor/outdoor pools, hot tub, steam room, sauna, big locker rooms and a large gym. There is even a golf simulator. For everything they have, the price is great. You can also do $10 day pass.If you are planning on using the lockeoom...you need to bring everything. There is no towels or soaps or anything. They have basketballs, tennis racquets and things to rent for free if you need it.
Very nice after the remodel. Everything is so nice and new, and works well. There's a lot of people that go but not so many that there's any challenge to get where you're going. Good fitness classes, nice equipment, friendly staff. The parking lot is large and there's plenty of parking. Class drop in price is $10 and membership is also available. Overall satisfied with my experiences there.
