Absolutely unacceptable hygiene standards at a healthcare facility!

I’m appalled by the lack of basic hygiene at the Mentor Cleveland Clinic location. When we went to wash our hands, the soap dispenser was completely empty — only hand sanitizer was available. We politely asked a housekeeper named Ryan if he could refill the soap or provide a bottle, but his response was simply, “Hand sanitizer is sufficient.”

Let’s be clear: hand sanitizer is NOT a replacement for washing your hands with soap and water, especially in a healthcare facility where sanitation should be the highest priority. Despite multiple requests, we couldn’t even get a bottle of soap or be directed to a restroom that had any.

This level of negligence is absolutely unacceptable for a hospital that claims to prioritize patient safety and public health. If Cleveland Clinic can’t manage to keep something as basic as hand soap stocked, it raises serious questions about the standards behind the scenes.

Do better, Cleveland Clinic. Basic hygiene should never be optional.

Absolutely unacceptable. There was no soap in the restrooms, and when we brought it to Ryan’s attention, he refused to address it—claiming that hand sanitizer is sufficient. This is an appalling response and a complete disregard for basic hygiene, especially in a hospital setting. For a facility that claims to be reputable, these standards are shockingly poor. Patients and visitors deserve far better. I hope Dr. Mihaljevic sees this, I don’t think he would be too pleased!!

While the medical service my grandmother eventually received was professional, the overall experience was critically compromised by a severe failure in basic public health and hygiene in the patient waiting area.
Upon using the patient restroom, I found that there was absolutely no hand soap available. This initial lapse is alarming enough in any public space, but it is utterly unacceptable within a medical facility where infection control should be the absolute highest priority.
The issue was compounded when I brought this safety concern to a staff member (male sitting behind sliding glass partition. His name may have been Ryan) I was informed that they would not bring out any soap, stating that the nearby hand sanitizer was considered sufficient.
This response demonstrates an alarming disregard for fundamental infection prevention standards. Hand washing is the single most effective method of preventing the spread of infection, especially in an environment exposed to numerous pathogens. Relying solely on hand sanitizer, while neglecting the provision of basic cleansing soap and water, indicates a failure in training or policy that directly jeopardizes the safety of every patient, visitor, and staff member.
This is not a minor inconvenience; it is a critical safety failure that warrants immediate attention and correction by management. Until this facility can guarantee basic, essential hygiene supplies and appropriate staff education on infection control, I cannot recommend it.

When I called recently to find a primary care doctor that meets my times available and distance requirements I was helped by a wonderful woman named Lauren. She went out of her way to find me someone who had later appointments and was not too far from my location. She was friendly, thoughtful and very polite. Thank you, Lauren!!

Terrible. Operated like a scam to get the most money possible from people. If you ask any questions during your regular wellness visit you will be charged twice for the same period of time. Do not answer the doctor, when they ask you if you have any questions unless you want to be charged twice. They code things so that your insurance will bill you twice

Is it reasonable to be on hold for over 25 minutes to try to schedule an appointment? Or if you try to schedule one online they only list appointments 4 months out? Worse medical system ever!!!
