After suffering with a back injury (torn disc L4/L5), degenerative disc disease, and mild stenosis I thought I would never have an active life with my children again. The pain would heighten after going through insurance mandated PT sessions for 7 years. Doctors couldn't help me beyond shots and medication that made me sleepy and had negative side effects. After I and my husband have worked with Stephen for years on a variety of physical/health issues, I can say that he accomplishes several things that I find different from other physical therapists:
-(Actually) listens & takes patient's perspective into account
-Heavily researches condition and any associated factors; is up to date with newer concepts and research
-Educates patient in very understandable ways, is a great communicator
-Thinks creatively and holistically about the cause(s) and the solution(s)
-Isn't too prideful to consider other methods of therapy/treatment- and once again, researches all of them
