The new therapist Andrew is a miracle worker. He did wonders for my wrenched shoulder, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, and TMJ. He gave my husband relief from a frozen shoulder that no one else has been able to address. He really knows what he’s doing with deep maofascial release. A great overall experience.

Update to the Review Below: The same day I posted this review the owner called me to apologize. He was very authentic and obviously showed he cared about the practice and my experience with massage in general. He refunded the cost of my treatment and put in my customer file that I will receive a free service the next time I seek treatment. Even without the refund and offering of future free service, I would have adjusted my rating due to his speed and sincerity in addressing the situation. He is obviously very knowledgeable about massage's therapeutic benefits. I get the feeling that if he was involved that day, the experience would have been very different.

TL;DR: My appointment type was switched and I was not told until I was in the massage room. The booked appointment was for a neuromassage to help with nerve pain, and I was given two different stories of why it was switched to a deep tissue massage.

Background: A few weeks ago, I developed a pain in my hand and arm. My doctor put me on steroids to see if reduced inflammation helped with nerve pain. It did for a bit. Last Thursday (3/26), I felt the pain returning and wanted to get ahead of it before my vacation next week. So, I wanted to get a neuromassage to see if that helped.
I called to schedule my appointment and told the receptionist my story. They booked me for a neuromassage at 9am on Wednesday (4/1). The receptionist warned me the masseuse would be male. That’s fine.

Day Of: I arrive and, to my surprise, I’m taken to a massage room by a woman. She explained that I’m getting a deep tissue massage today. I told her I booked a neuromassage for my pain and she apologized saying there was a mishap with scheduling. She spoke with the front staff and said they would give me a discount on the session. I deliberated staying. However, I had already rescheduled work meetings to accommodate coming in. Plus, I have my vacation next week and hoped maybe this could potentially help with the nerve pain anyways.

After Massage: I was then told my discount was only 25%. I wrongly assumed the discount would be more to let me experience this service and entice me to return. I paid the cost and tipped the masseuse resulting in me paying well over $100.

The Real Appt Switch Story: The receptionist let me know that it wasn’t a scheduling mishap. The neuromasscular masseuse did come in that day but had a hand injury and could not give massages that day. So instead of calling me ahead of time to let me know and consider rescheduling, I was led into the massage room and told I was getting a different service. At this point, I felt very foolish for letting myself get duped.

In Summary: I felt tricked and that the staff was not considerate of my time and my situation. This wasn’t a spa day. I wanted to explore a massage therapy option and rearranged my work schedule to accommodate.
