I had a small luggage lock that I lost the key for, and since it wasn’t a combination lock, I couldn’t open it at all. It was a pretty cheap lock, but still couldn’t open the lock. I brought it to this locksmith, and he kindly said he’d give it a try.
At first, he wasn’t able to pick the lock, but instead of giving up, he went to grab additional tools to help me out. Eventually, he was able to cut the lock open for me. He also refused to charge me anything for his time and work!
I even offered to buy him a coffee as a thank-you, but he politely declined. He was genuinely kind and helpful.
cannot recommend Milan Key Shop enough. I stopped here in Kent during a long cross-country road trip from New York to the West Coast, and Bob (the owner) was an absolute lifesaver. I was dealing with a stressful issue regarding a Thule roof cargo box that I simply could not get a key for. Before hitting the road, I had visited multiple places—including Ace Hardware and several local locksmiths back in Massachusetts and New York. None of them could help me, and I was starting to think I was out of luck.

Been going to Milan Key shop for 20+ years for various residential lock services. He's excellent, new keys are crisp, changed locks work perfectly. Excellent quality at a good price. Highly recommend!
