Did unsatisfactory work for me. I had to go to an arbitrator to get my deposit back. Won my case but Jeff Davis still refused to pay. Had Sheriff issue papers to come to court and Jeff Davis didn’t show. He’s a liar and a thief.

Jeff Davis basically stole our money. My husband and I signed a contract with him and gave him a deposit of half the total cost for a concrete slab in our backyard on June 27,2018. He was scheduled to start the job the first week of July. He kept rescheduling the job and then after a month went by we started asking for our money back. He still hasn't given us our money. We contacted the state attorney general. Hopefully they can help us get our money returned. We are trying to work with Thumbtack because they initially closed his account but opened it back up and now he did the same thing to others. Based on these reviews he deserves criminal charges. Our job started with Jeff Davis lying about obtaining a permit. We had one delay after another. One of his workers admitted to never working construction before and we can definitely tell between the damage to our downspout return system, neighbors driveway and city gutter, curb and street. They were fired as soon as we found out he had not obtained a permit, on day seven of our job, almost two months after we signed our contract. We were left with a torn up driveway, sidewalk, yard and no steps for our front porch. Unfortunately, we have learned that a new law has passed recently requiring us to obtain a variance.
