I have been coming to LA Nails for 22 years (since I was in high school), and obviously it's good if I keep coming back! I remember when they were just a small, few seat salon, and the expansion and renovations they've done over the last few years really make it a relaxing place to be. I typically see Tony now, and he always does a fantastic job on my nails (I do a specific style, and he knows every time I come in what I want, how I want them shaped, etc.). I get so many compliments on my nails after my appointments, and recommend them to everyone who asks where I got my nails done. The environment is nice and they are very friendly but as a Licensed medical nail tech, I experienced a lot of micro trauma on my hands. The lady used a carbide square drill bit and damaged a lot of skin on my cuticles instead of using a cone or even small flame too or ball to clean up my cuticles. Here it is day 2 and my cuticles are on fire. They could also focus more on shaping the nails as well. 3 stars is for environment and personality.

EDIT: So I recently reviewed this location 2 days prior, giving it 3 stars. I've since decided to rescind that and change it to 5. I had had an issue with the lack of communicating how prices work, being that this was my first time receiving a manicure, and that they were picking out gel rather than my requested normal polish, but Lee really did work hard to get the colors on my right hand to stick and was pleasant during the whole process. And honestly, I should've asked more about how the pricing works myself as it may not have been clear to them that it was my first time receiving a manicure, so the score was a little unfair on my part.Currently, the gel is holding...read full review
