About GMC at DAN TOBIN
GMC at DAN TOBIN is a car dealership that provides a mixed customer experience. On the positive side, one customer praised the sales associate David Chapman for his excellent customer service and communication. David is described as a true GM/Chevy ambassador who is meticulous in explaining the vehicle details and features. The customer was impressed with David's service and said he would return to him if interested in purchasing a Chevy in the future. However, another customer had a less satisfactory experience. They were frustrated that the dealership did not have the right bulb in stock for their brake light repair and did not call the customer back to let them know. The customer had to go and get the bulb themselves and then bring it to the dealership to have it installed, which they felt was poor customer service. The customer also felt the $99 charge to install the bulb was too high. Despite the mixed reviews, a third customer had an overall positive experience with the dealership. They were able to work out the financing and trade-in process efficiently, even with the dealership's systems being down due to a nationwide technological issue. The sales representative, Roxanne Mullis, maintained good communication throughout the process and ensured the customer's deal was secured, even with the system challenges. The in-store purchase experience was also described as smooth and low-pressure, with the finance department providing good service as well. In summary, GMC at DAN TOBIN seems to provide a varied customer experience, with some positive feedback on the sales staff's customer service, but also some concerns about repair services and communication. The dealership appears to have handled a challenging technical situation well, providing a satisfactory purchasing process for at least one customer.
I've had my vehicle in the past year multiple times at Chevy. This location (Sawmill Rd), Mark Wahlberg, etc...It is the same issue. They've reviewed codes. Kept kicking the can down the road. Engine was cleared. Now, that I am outside of the bumper to bumper, surprisingly, we figure out the issue and surprise, it is $1900. Not to mention every time my vehicle had issues, I'd need to rent my own vehicle paying out of pocket. I essentially had to throw a fit just to get the loaner for this most recent visit. Please do not purchase products from this company! I am leaving 1 star reviews for as many companies as I can. Because I've had this issue for some time and now I am outside of my warranty, it has finally been diagnosed.
We had car problems with our 2019 Buick while on vacation in Dublin. We broke down about a half mile from Ricart Buick so we had it towed there because our warranty would be covered there. Ricart promised us that they would work on the car in the morning, they even gave us a 8:30 am scheduled time for service. We hadn't heard anything by noon so we called to check on it. They hadn't looked at it yet. They said they would get it in the garage in the next hour or so. So we checked back about 3pm. They said they had called for a second tow truck to bring it into the bay. At about 4pm we went to get some stuff out of the car, to put in our rental. While we were there, the service manager told us it was the transmission, and it would take at least a week to fix. We live 2.5 hours away so they told us to go to the next place on our vacation. We asked if they thought there was any chance it would be done in one day because we could stay in Dublin another day to avoid many extra hours of driving. They told us the problem was transmission and it would be possibly a week or longer. We kept telling them that this meant we would have to drive an extra 5 hours. If it was possibly going to be fixed we would stay in Dublin an extra night. The service manager assured us that the problem was the transmission. Taking her word for it, we went to Cleveland. Soon after arriving in Cleveland they called us telling us the STARTER was fixed. So we had to make another trip to Dublin, because of their delay in looking at the car and improper initial diagnosis that it was the STARTER and not the transmission. Another pet peve of mine was that the huge mess they made on the floor and front seat. They ripped the garbage bag and through the garbage all over the floor, and the handicap tag and other papers all over the floor and seat. And a greasy nasty rag was left on the seat as well. If we could give them ZERO Stars, we would!
Order a new GMC Sierra and received a printed confirmation order with details. A month later I called Ricart GMC to check on order and I was told Ricart GMC did not process the order. I wasted a month waiting for a truck that was never ordered and would have wasted more time if I had not proactively called them. What a mess at Ricart GMC. Don;t trust them.
