I was referred to CHN Housing Partners (CHN) through the Detroit Accessibility Network and Wayne Metro, and it changed my life. At first, I thought I was only getting some wrought iron handrails for my porch. Instead, CHN transformed the exterior of my home and restored my sense of safety, dignity and independence.
CHN installed new handrails for my porch, a security porch light, a Ring doorbell, new security doors and locks, a safe walkway, level sidewalk and driveway. Later, I received a call from CHN asking if I needed handrails for my shower, along with a shower bench and chair, for increased bathroom safety. I was speechless!
CHN provided 3 months rent plus the security deposit for me! I am BEYOND grateful for this program and I encourage anyone who is low income and needs rental assistance to apply at the beginning of the month to receive help!

CHN was very helpful to my family and I. From beginning to end of us moving into our new home. Even when the process was delayed due to the management company, CNH was very patient in regards to accommodating us. I had an awesome experience with this organization. CNH helped me tremendously by paying my security deposit, and first three months of rent. I’m very grateful to CHN for all of their assistance. I highly recommend if you’re looking to rent a home and is in need of assistance.
