*LIFE CHANGING* this is long winded but there is no way to shorten it. let me say again, LIFE CHANGING. Read below to find out that I am not being dramatic. I went to Jessica for just general aches and pains about 4 to 5 times over the past 2 years. with me living alittle over an hour away from her with 3 kids (one being a brand new baby), work life and family life, I didn't feel I had the time to do the 10 series session. either way, I got amazing relief seeing her those random 4 to 5 times. Fast forward to March 2, 2024. Long story short, I fell down my stairs and had a SIGNIFICANT concussion to the point that I had a 2nd CT scan of my brain 3 days after the initial injury everyone thinking there was possibly a small brain bleed that wasnt seen the day of injury. It was by far one of the scariest months of my life. 7 weeks after my fall I returned to work with still a lot of head pain, vision issues and severe light sensativity. About 12 weeks after my injury, seeing different doctors and even getting my glasses prescription changed, I still had major headaches, vision and light sensativity issues. to the point I was about to go back on FMLA. This is where my 1 of 2 life changing events happened. 12 weeks, still in absolute misery, I went and saw Jessica. I had to wear a hat and sunglasses into the session, crying because how terrible my headache was (it wasn't a normal headache, it was like someone taking a steal toed boot and repeatedly kicking me in the back of the head where I hit my head). I couldn't even read the signa as I drove to her clinic. After my 90 minute session, I got off her table and sobbed, not because I was in pain but people, I had absolutely no more head pain, no more light sensitivity AND I could read the signs! After seeing her I have never experienced another headache , no light sensativity and I can read words, to the point that the prescription that was given to me after my concussion was too strong that I am now back to my old glasses. then let's fast forward to July 7, 2024. I once again was going down stairs carrying my now 2 year old (yes, I know I apparently have stair issues lol) and my knee dislocated. This is an issue I have had but this time was different. MRI showed I severely tore the MPFL tendon (tendon attaching my knee cap to the inside of my knee to keep it midline). My MRI showed no other damage BUT the pain I was experiencing and what my Physical Therapist coworkers also felt was my medial meniscus was torn. I couldn't walk normal without SIGNIFICANT pain (mind you I was given a cortisone injection with no relief prior to my MRI), significant catching in my knee and not just at my knee cap, couldnt bend my leg when driving (had to take my shoe off and put my foot under the brake pedal), couldn't kneel, waking 5 to 6 times a night due to my knee, couldn't squat, just had enough energy to work and then sit on my butt in agony when at home, etc... anyhow, 7 weeks after the dislocation I was seeing a 2nd surgeon who told me that I needed referred out for my tear. I told the surgeon that I didn't even care about my kneecap but my meniscus had to be torn because everything I was experiencing. of course he said that MRI looked good and manual testing was fine too. I sobbed and literally begged this surgeon to do an arthroscopic because the MRI had to be wrong. he told me "your knee may just be out of alignment, it's also inflamed and so that's what's causing your catching." after that appointment I felt so defeated and having to wait another month or so to see the specialist they are sending me to. That night I told my husband "If my knee is out of alignment then I am seeing Jessica." I booked an appointment the very next t day. August 29 I begged a doctor to do surgery on me and August 30th I saw Jessica. once again, I got off that table and it was LIFE CHANGING. I had absolutely NO PAIN, I could walk, squat and even drove my car home 1 hour away normal! since then, no pain. it's like nothing e
I'm not done with all of my sessions, but so far, my body is like night and day. The pains that have followed me around for 10 plus years are practically gone! I've had steroid injections, chiropractic work, physical therapy, at home stretching, and nothing worked until now. I am a forever client. Definitely worth the investment. HIGHLY recommend. The pic on the right is before session one, the red scarf picture is after session 7. Look at the difference!! headaches..gone! Neck pain...gone! hump ... vanishing! Hump brought on by heavy breast, pulling bras, holding and carrying 3 children, still carrying one now, and poor posture! I can go on and on
I had an old shoulder injury that just wouldn't go away. Doing shoulder presses, push-ups, or lateral raises without any weights would generate a lot of pain. After my first session, I was in pain. I gradually recovered during the week and now I can do push-ups and lateral raises. I feel less pain when doing the same activities. I'm on the path to recovery thanks to Jess. Unlike Chiropractic where you see results immediately, but if you go to sleep and wake up you regress a bit, rolfing addresses the problems in the muscles and tissues which takes time to heal and results are gradual. Jess is very attentive, she will take her time in the areas that need it the most. If you have old injuries or even new/recent ones, I encourage you to give rolfing a try.
