We got our sweet Buddy from them last winter and had a great experience. I applied and got a call from Sue the next day. She made sure we’d be a good fit for him as first time dog owners. They require a week long foster to do a little test run and even let us extend it to 2 weeks when my boyfriend was on the fence. Sue was very responsive to my texts and calls about some behavioral issues he had in the beginning (that completely went away after a few weeks of training). I adopted the two most perfect dogs from Sweet Dream House in 2012 and 2015, respectively. Still thriving and living their best lives. Not sure if any processes have changed in the last few years, but they were an incredibly easy rescue to work with and put up few barriers to adoption.
