STILL THE ONE! thx for taking care of my Pops, there isn't another barber in Cincinnati that does what you folks do! We talked about Elder football, Elder basketball, Elder baseball, and a few other things related to the Purple Panthers of Elder High School .... and the haircut wasn't bad either !!!! Happy New Year from Fort Thomas to the ABSOLUTE BEST on the West Side, Best Side!

Listen. This place is THE BEST HAIR SALONS AND BARBER SHOPS in Cincinnati. They deserve 100 stars. Mr. and Mrs. Grote are always polite and willing to take time to listen. I'm a physically disabled woman with difficult talking. Jo Annea became a good friend, because she's to go the extra mile. She'll listen to how I want my haircut. She won't call I a consultation and cut my hair her way. If I like my haircut, I'll tip Jo Annea extra, because she's worth it. I'm sure her husband, jerry is the same way. If I may change the sub, whatever happened to all those GREAT STORES, LIKE McALPIN's, SEARS and POGUE's, in the Western Hills Plaza. They were the best stores, hands down....read full review

I've been going to Grote's Barber since I met the co-owner, Terry, about 15 years ago. It's an old fashion place with a touch of the modern. I enjoy the way he uses cream and a straight edge to do around my ears. The hot towel shave I get each spring is the best I look and feel all year. The staff knows their clientele; they develop a rapport with them. In fact, I hardly have to give any instructions at all: Mr. Grote knows the way I like it. And they will get to know you, too. A West Side staple and a great small business. Highly recommended.
