My family cannot thank the staff of Monfort Heights Animal Clinic enough for the high quality of care and compassion they demonstrated towards our miniature schnauzer when she was suffering from kidney failure. She stayed overnight for three nights receiving round the clock attention in order to try and save her. It was an absolutely awful experience to have to decide to put her to sleep but Doc McBride and the vet technicians (Dora chief among them) treated us with respect and empathy. I'll never forget after she was gone and they had to remove the IV, they still gently wrapped her little leg in red gauze. 1976 -- my Kodachrome memories are swathed in the red, white, and blue bunting of the nation's bicentennial, red pennants in honor of the Big Red Machine, and the gray and white of my first shaggy dog, Daisy, light of my life, center of my universe for the duration of hers. 1976 -- That was the year my family began its relationship with Dr. McBride at the Montfort Heights Animal Clinic.
