About Wheeler Driving School

Wheeler Driving School is a reputable business known for its patient and kind instructors. Many customers mention that there is usually a long wait to get started, which is common for driving schools in the area. It’s recommended to sign up early once a teen gets their permit, and to be proactive by requesting updates and asking about drive times. The staff is polite and helpful, often accommodating busy schedules by arranging pick-ups from high schools or working around practice times. Instructors like Rob and Dennis receive praise for their patience and ability to make learners feel at ease. Customers appreciate the option to rent cones for practice and the convenience of online drivers’ education. Despite the wait—sometimes around six months—families find the process worth it, especially when their teens pass the driving test on the first attempt. Overall, Wheeler Driving School is a trusted choice for quality instruction and caring staff.

Expect a long wait, which is the case with any driving school in the area. Sign up as soon as your teen gets their permit. We signed up our daughter in July. We were told to expect our drives end of November or the beginning of December. After corresponding with Wheeler via email we finally were assigned an instructor in mid-December and started her drives shortly after. Our daughter finished her drives on February 2nd I believe. (bad weather, snow/ice, etc delayed her drives) The one issue I had was there was no advance scheduling and we were just kind of at the mercy of our instructor having time to fit us in. I do recommend having your child do the online instruction...read full review

My daughter did her drives with Rob. He was so kind and patient! He made her feel so at ease. Once it was her turn to schedule her lessons, communication was great. We waited about 6 months for our turn. We’d call or email monthly for updates and the staff was always polite and prompt. I can’t stress enough that you have to have patience with this whole process. The staff and drivers are doing their best and once it becomes your child’s turn you’ll be thankful because it’s worth the wait! They even rent out cones to practice maneuverability after their instructed drives! That was a nice surprise. Overall, I’d recommend Wheeler’s but you must practice patience...read full review

Wheeler was amazing!!! Dennis was fantastic with my daughter. He was able to work around her busy schedule by picking her up at the high school after school and taking her back before practice. I highly recommend wheeler. Special thanks to Dennis!!
