While I support our health-care workers, this ER is broke. Many people, including myself, decided to just leave after 5 or more hours in the waiting room. Triage was done remote through a tablet to justify not getting seen by a doctor in the ER, but still allowing test to start while being in the waiting room. If your plan is to leave people in the waiting room for 5, 6, 7, 8+ hours, maybe you should consider investing in some more comfortable and reclining furniture. This is basically the Jet Blue or Frontier of ER's. It is worth driving further to avoid the Avon ER!
DO NOT come to this ER. CCF is breaking HIPPA laws by having registration call on your cell phone in their crowded waiting room. Called back for triage, ordered a CT scan and sent back to the waiting room. Another patient said he was ready to pass out and told to sit down. Then throws up in front of everyone waiting to be seen. I was told by the desk person it was normal for the ER. Finally called back and put on a bed in the hallway. There are rooms OPEN. The Cleveland Clinic is rated as one of the best hospitals in the world. The WORLD better wake up and realize the medical care today is absolutely terrible. Cleveland Clinic only cares about their profits.
02/08/2024 wow this is unbelievable, been waiting since 11:36 am and now it’s 3:33 pm, with so much pain in my chest, left arm, shoulder and neck, have blood work done, X-ray an EKG, but I still haven’t see a doctor, my pain got worse one the nurses said we just waiting for a room like half hour ago, still nothing, I told them I have the same symptoms as the pericarditis that I have two months ago, don’t know what’s going on, but this is ridiculous, can’t stop crying because of the pain and nothing, why this hospital is doesn’t have a express care for patients with not big emergency and separate them from patients that have a big emergency.
