A distinctive technique involves the therapist using their knees on the client's back, which is initially intense but ultimately very effective. Some clients report pleasant experiences and plan to return. However, experiences can be inconsistent. The setting is noted as sparse, and some clients have raised concerns about cleanliness, mentioning bad smells and uncertainty about sheet changes. The room temperature is sometimes too cold. A significant issue reported by multiple clients involves pressure for larger tips, with therapists sometimes requesting tips of 50% or more, even after a client has already given a generous amount, which can lead to uncomfortable confrontations. I come here because it’s cheaper than other places, but I really need an occasional massage for stress and my general health. I don’t like to complain unless necessary, but the last time I went she asked me for more tip $30!!! That’s a 50% tip and I had offered 20% and left giving more than that! I’ve been happy the last few times, but it’s definitely not a professional massage, they aren’t certified, my husband and I complained once they tweaked both our knees and was sore for a few days and the location is a bit sparse and dirty (sheets smelled bad, not sure they change them between sessions). Review based on two massages in October 2022.
Both massages were good. The first, I think, was from the owner. It was very good with no issues. I tipped in excess of 20% ($15 for a $70 massage).
When I returned the following week, I got an employee. She gave a good massage and I wanted to reward her with a with a healthy tip. I try to be a little more generous with employees. So I gave her all the cash I had: a ten and two fives. She wanted more. I showed her my empty wallet and reminded her I gave her a tip of almost 30%. So I dropped in here after a long drive to get some muscle work done basically massage because my back is killing me from being in the car.
In here in Avon Ohio there are many massage places to try out as you can see from the Google list but I’ve never had an Asian style massage. What I mean is there a style of massage is called Asian massage.
I’ve had Swedish style massages Charlotte Susa style massages heck I’ve even hold a massage therapy license at one time along with acupuncture license never heard of an Asian style massage.
