From Stark State College CDL Training Center
Stark State College's Commercial driver’s license (CDL) training can get you on the road to a new career. You’ll get there in high gear with truck driving training that’s just eight weeks or less – starting off with classroom sessions followed by behind-the-wheel range and open road training. You’ll get a minimum of 200 hours of Class A Tractor Trailer training with 48’ length trailers. All trucks are outfitted with 10-speed non-synchronized manual transmissions. You’ll also be prepared for hazardous (H endorsement) and doubles and triples (T endorsement) written exams at the same time. CDL permit not required to start.
I just completed my course doing the part-time evenings class. It's a great program that I would recommend to anyone wanting to get their CDL. Personable, helpful, and patient instructors that actually care about each student's progress. Overall good equipment as well.
