I hadn't had my hair cut in nearly 10 years! I LOVE it long...and my Arlo Guthrie-ish look; but I needed a pretty radical cut for cervical spinal fusion surgery. The last person that could actually cut my hair well, passed away in the early 1990s and she was a barber, NOT a "stylist". Shelly and Cathy are also barbers...and are also graduates of the same barber college as my previous barber. I KNEW that I was asking Shelly to give me a cut that was "wrong" for the type and texture of my hair...and "angled bob"...and that I was taking him way out of his "comfort zone" based on his knowledge and experience. The cut that I needed mandated that my head and neck be clean shaven from a line from the base of my one ear, across the back of my head, to the base of my other ear...that doesn't leave very many options for a really stylish cut. Shelly spent A LOT of time working on my hair...well over an hour...and the results greatly exceeded my expectations! To the extent possible, he preserved my hair length over my ears...and kept the "front" and profile looks looking really good! Post-surgery, I will be going back to my preferred extra-long hair look; but as my hair grows back in, I'll be returning to Shelly to help me "keep it neat", since my hair won't be growing back "evenly" at first! Another plus, they cut womens' hair, so my wife...who hasn't found a "stylist" that can cut her wavy-curly locks since my/our barber passed away...will be calling to have Shelly or Cathy give her the look that she's been wanting for a loooooooooooong time! FRIENDLY people...nice place...with PERSONALITY!!! I highly recommend them!!!

Friendly staff! Love how you always feel welcome! Shelley has cut my 2 year olds hair twice! Great Patience w my son that doesn't like the clippers but gets him to let him use them! Plus he always does amazing cuts!
