Jose is a fantastic barber and I’ve been going to him since I moved to the area 6 months ago. Very reasonable prices. His shop is on the 2nd floor of Woodside plaza and you need to buzz office #204 to get into the building.

I am a regular here have been going here for years and I have gone to multiple other places to get a haircut and not only is Jose the most professional/cleanest but he is one of the most skilled experienced barbers around which are very hard to find nowadays. He has a little low key spot but his work is absolutely phenomenal every time. His prices are also very fare for the work that he provides.

Just popped into this barbershop yesterday - most likely have just found my new barber. This place has definitely had to adapt to COVID much like a lot of other businesses in NYC (or anywhere). Somehow, however, Jose (the owner) has managed to make the new set-up feel like a regular, relaxing barbershop with the old school feel, while also making it much safer than other haircut places around here. For example: a couple months back, I went to a (decent) place in Sunnyside for a badly-needed haircut; they made do however they could (plastic dividers, masks, etc.), but they still had like 10-20 people in a relatively small indoor at the same time. Sitting still for 30 - 45 minutes with complete strangers and little to no ventilation isn't something I'd like to do unless I HAVE to these days. The Woodside Barbershop on the other hand has managed to avoid all of that, by setting up appointments (which you can easily book in advance) so you come in for YOUR 30-minute haircut. Just you and Jose, who takes real good care of your hair and is engaging/fun to chat with into the bargain. Will definitely be coming back here soon.
