“Yoshi is a master at his work! Let me start off by saying that this is the first time I’ve ever visited his salon, and my experience was celebrity stylist quality to say the least, and I couldn’t have been happier. His skills his knowledge experience is unmatched. I felt like I was being treated like a movie star. This was my first time doing Japanese hair, straightening known as thermal reconditioning. It was fantastic. He spoke to me, broke everything down as how everything was going to go down. The process was simple and we spoke the entire time. My fiancé was present with me, and he can agree. He had a great time at the salon. He said he felt like he was in a spa. I’d like to thank Yoshi for this experience, and I will be returning for my touchups within 4-6 months and I’m looking forward to my Hair journey with him. I do recommend friends and family to visit the salon. If looking to get their hair straightened by a professional, he knows his stuff book immediately don’t think twice just book. “Went in to get my hair dyed for the first time ever with Kiyo and he was so amazing! Was definitely nervous coming in but I felt super at ease after talking through it and could not be happier with my results. Was able to go from medium brown to a vibrant dark red with no bleach which is exactly what I wanted. Can’t recommend this salon enough, good vibes, great staff, super clean, loved it! Also all the people before me were very happy with their results which was reassuring“

“Sergio is the GOAT (Greatest of all time). If you have long hair and need a consistent quality haircut, there is no other choice for a barber in NYC. I tried 6 other barbers before I found Sergio and they were nice, but my haircuts were always a hair off (no pun intended).Sergio gives me the perfect haircut every time. Whenever I walk out from an appointment I get looks on the street because my hair is ??.Also, if you love dogs, Lola is a gem. I found Gail’s instagram (@brondeinbrooklyn) and was really impressed with her work.Gail listens carefully to your hair goals (for me - healing my damaged hair but also maintaining a rooted blonde) and lays out a plan to achieve the look! She is a great communicator and texts clients following each appointment to make sure you feel amazing.Gail was able to transition my grown out level 10 blonde and dark roots into a super blended, low maintenance bronde look that I love.Little Lion is super clean, easy to book and the owner Danielle is there often! From ultra short to mid-length/long, she executes my vision beyond what I've articulated. The funny thing is, over the years, I would get compliments not just on fresh haircut but when I let it grow a bit. People keep thinking I just got a new haircut and I say, no this is how the original cut is growing out. They don't believe me.Another brilliant person I go to in the Salon is Igor (introduced to me by Kelly). Igor has been doing my color for years. If you want a color that will turn heads and make people smile, you go to Igor.“
“One of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. I showed him a couple photos and he was able to come up with a hairstyle that combined all of them and looked amazing. I highly recommend coming for a cut but I do not personally recommend getting the k18 hair mask. My scalp is sadly still sore from my hair getting pulled out during the k18 repair mask process. I very much recommend getting your haircut here, but maybe just skip the k18. Just in general if your hairdresser does start running their hands through your wet hair kind of hard speak up earlier, I wish I had, and that was my fault. Anyway great place in general!Update: they don’t let us send replies to replies but I did want to say thank you and that I upped the number of stars because y’all’s response was so nice.“

“This is without the very best shop in the the city. The vibe is so relaxed, friendly, warm, personable, you immediately feel very comfortable and know that you are in good hands. Tim has created and curated this environment for his customers. I started going to Tim about a year ago, right after a really bad barber had literally chopped my hair in so many layers that it is hard to describe what it looked like, but trust me it was not good. I found Tim at Public Image and within 7 months he had somehow managed to get my hair back in shape. I know how he managed, he is an expert when it comes to cutting hair. He listens, recommends and most importantly follows through and gives you the exact cut that you had discussed with him. I can't say enough about Tim other than he is just an all around spectacular guy even minus his expertise in cutting hair. Everyone do yourself a favor and book a haircut with Tim or actually any of the others in his shop! They are all great. Public Image NYC is a very solid 10“

“Great communication leading up to appointment. The salon is relaxing and clean. My stylist, Kali, checked in as she cut to make sure I was happy with where cut was going. I was! Service was quick and painless. For me the best feature of Studio S is the roomy salon chairs. As a fat woman, this is a legit concern when I travel, go to the movies, to a restaurant, and to the salon. I fit very comfortably in the chairs at Studio S. No squeezing in or hip pinching. It seems like a small thing but it's not when most of the world can be pretty uncomfortable for larger people. It was so nice to be able to relax and sit comfortably while I got my hair cut. Thanks Studio S and Kali!“
“I first visited Christo Fifth Avenue today with my mother and let me tell you it was incredible! My stylist’s name was Igor and he was a literal angel from heaven. My hair was damaged and thin from the water quality at my college/my blond hair dye. I originally only went in for a consult but ended up learning how to heal my hair and make it grow in a healthy way. In a matter of only 1 hour Igor taught me how to shampoo and condition my hair and how to apply products after a shower.
