“after having a truly horrific experience at another shop, I set out to get it fixed, I was sheepishly peeking into the window of this place trying to catch a vibe when a barber saw me and waved me in warmly. I am visibly queer, transmasc nonbinary Fresh off an absolutely intentional hack job from another shop, I was very scared, and my barber here could absolutely tell and worked hard to put me at ease . There was a bit of a communication barrier but it didn't matter a single bit. They took care of me and fixed my hair, the barber could definitely see that I was deeply nervous to let anybody touch my hair. He made me feel at ease, offered me tea and coffee, and generally turned my whole mood around while fixing somebody else's mess. I left feeling confident and I swear to God, I almost hugged this perfect stranger, because I was so relieved.“
