Unfortunately I was unimpressed. I came for a blow out for a wedding and I asked for a trim and volume. I don't get my hair blown out other than when I get it cut about once a year so I was really excited! My hair normally falls flat so all I wanted was a bouncy, light blow out. I left with my hair pretty much flat as could be and underwhelmed with what I paid $80 (including tips) for. I easily could have done what my stylist did at home myself. Also my stylist just wasn't terribly friendly- I tried to make conversation here and there and didn't really get anything back. I even loudly said bye and thank you as I walked out to which I got no response... Just overall not great vibe. :/

Dawn is the best I’ve been using house of hair for over 5 years. Dawn transformed my hair from broken and damaged to healthy. I can honestly say I now love my hair. Very friendly staff that always make me feel welcome.

As a curly-haired person, I will not be returning to House of Hair. I came for a root touch-up, and while I understand my stylist was not a curl specialist, I expected more than just to see a bottle of gel placed in front of me at the end. I actually sat there waiting to be styled because she didnt properly communicate she wouldnt be doing it. And when she finally walked over (there were no other clients in the salon) her response: “Oh I dont know curly hair.” It’s difficult enough to embrace my curly hair (3a texture, mixture of loose ringlets and waves), but I left feeling like my hair texture wasnt “important” or “valued” enough to learn. At the very least, the stylist couldve proceeded to watch me section out and style my hair to learn something, but no. At the end, she asked how the color was. My hair was soaking wet, how could I tell? I was never handed a diffuser. I asked for a dark color to match my roots, not jet black. (i come home, dry the hair, and its jet black and artificial looking.) While the salon may say, curls are not her expertise, you came for a root touchup, thats what you got, then please at LEAST be friendlier and properly communicate with your clients. It was like pulling teeth to get a hello from some of them. And yes, I still tipped the full amount…

I have been going to this salon for 3 years now. Jesse, one of the owners, is excellent when it comes to color and cuts. She gives honest advice and opinions when I want to do changes. I get my hair colored there regularly. From highlights to balayage and toners this salon is very knowledgeable and does not give false promises. I also think the price is very fair.

I always have a great experience at HOH! Jessy always does an amazing job and makes sure we’re on the same page about my goals before getting started. She and all the other women working there are very lovely and personable. It’s also very clean. I always leave feeling beautiful!

I stopped going here only because I wanted to dye my hair platinum white like the girl from game of thrones and my hair is naturally blonde. Dawn basically refused to dye it white and did it her way and just completely ignored what I had to say so instead she gave me icy blonde highlights.. as pretty as it was I always left out of the place with a huge disappointment wasting $$$ and not getting what I truly wanted. Never again going back.
