About NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health
NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health, located at 21 Bloomingdale Road in White Plains, New York, brings world-class care to the Hudson Valley community. The hospital feels like a big university campus, is brand new, super clean, and beautiful inside. Women and men are in separate units, making it feel very safe. The doctors are extremely educated and take their time with patients. One doctor carefully evaluated a patient for years and did not pill push, diagnosing them as an Empath. Another patient noted that the bipolar unit said they do not have bipolar, even though that is their specialty. The facility does not lie for money and segregates based on diagnosis. Nurses and techs are very nice, and staff is really amazing, enjoying helping others. The food is great, with more freedom and things to do. Visiting hours are the best, from 11-8pm every day. One patient gained weight from 33 kg to 50 kg after 1.5 months in the eating disorder program. However, one social worker did not talk to a family until the last week, and clothes were lost. Another patient was kept an extra week when they were good to go home. Despite this, the hospital helped flip lives around and is definitely recommended.
Horrible don’t ever go there only reason why I’m giving it two stars is because they take down one star reviews it’s terrible in there nobody should go if you have an eating disorder you aren’t allowed to go outside at all false promises and old tv with nothing to watch on it nothing to do and only therapy in the morning time , short staffed, staff always being rude and nasty and envious. Ants all over the rooms , terrible
Children's Nichols Cottage has AMAZING STAFF. They are all so great & caring with all the kids. Our family is so appreciative for how caring they have been with our son. They go above and beyond with the care they provide.
