I will say they do not know how to handle textured hair or know how to do anything other than blow dry hair straight. If you just want q basic wash and set and you have textured hair be aware that Spanish salons prefer straight or chemically relaxed hair. Yes they will talk about you if they know you're not Spanish or speak the language. Fyi this review is coming from a Spanish person with textured hair. So black women go to Spanish salons because they want to have the same look as us but they must understand that there are cultural and racial issues. With the almost nil Dominican population in White Plains, it's always great knowing this Dominican Hair Salon on Central Ave, has been here almost 20 years and thriving. Over the years, this salon has updated their spacious but bland look to a more polished one. Barber chair by entrance, styling stations and hair dryers with a wall dividing those- from the washing, hair treatment and roller area. I religiously depended on their hair treatments and deep washes every Sunday even going as far back when my daughter had long hair as a young teenager. I've been coming to this salon for about two months now, and I love it here. The ladies really know about hair are. My hair is healthy and it's growing -- and so is my daughter's. Whether I bring my own products or use theirs, my hair looks and feels great.
