If you are contemplating visiting this office PLEASE read this post! I spent a week on antibiotics hoping to relieve the extreme tooth pain I was experiencing. needless to say the antibiotics weren’t working and I was left in horrible pain. I went to stonybrook hospital out of desperation to be faced with a 6 hour wait so naturally I didn’t wait there. The pain was so unbearable I couldn’t feel my face and I had an awful headache. The following day (today) I spent over an hour calling every single dentist on my insurance plan. Well they ended up either not taking my insurance or telling me they had no appointments until late may or June (for an emergency no less) At 3pm I called Dr DiBenedetto’s office. I was told to come immediately and that they would be able to take X-rays and see what is going on at the very least. That alone was enough for me because I needed to know what was going on and why the antibiotics wouldn’t work. I walked in, filled out my paperwork and was taken in immediately. X-rays were done and Dr D came in, told me what needed to be done to feel better and he said are you ready. I said TODAY? he said “well how else are you going to feel better.”When I tell you that he felt like a real life angel to me at that moment, I mean it. I truly thought I’d be given some pain meds and a secondary appt for the work to be done within a day or two and sent on my way. Well to my surprise he was ready to go. Pulled a tooth and started a root canal that was also near infection. mind you this was, from start to finish ONE hour! ONE! Aside from the amazing care I received I also was able to witness the compassion, effort and kindness of the entire staff. although I am an adult I am terrified of the dentist which has often times caused me to wait too long for emergencies. I have only ever seen one oral surgeon with sweet air. Basically, I was petrified and I told him that. However, I had no reason to be scared at all because he kept asking if I was ok, confirmed he would stop if it hurt and gave enough time for the entire area to be numb. I never felt rushed or just another Patient. I truly felt as if he was caring for me like he would one of his own children. I had NO sweet air and felt nearly NOTHING AT ALL. To say I’m grateful is an understatement. As a mother who was going home to 3 children after work today in immense pain.. I was literally saved and then I went on home to make dinner, be able to enjoy my family and FINALLY have NO pain This is one of the most compassionate, understanding, trustworthy and skilled dental office you will find. Every single person who works there from the office to the assistants to the Dr is an absolute pleasure and I am so beyond happy with the experience I had. And now I’ll never go anywhere else 🤣😊 I honestly can’t say thank you enough. Over 15 dental offices failed to help me today along with stonybrook so I went into the office nearly crying and came out smiling - sorta.. He made sure I was extra numb and it lasted until 9pm tonight! I’m amazed, I’m thankful and I am forever grateful to have had the experience and compassionate treatment that I did. 150% recommend!!
Dr. DiBenedetto is excellent and caring and very gentle. The staff is so nice and they extend themselves all the way. I was scared to use a new dentist out here in the Hamptons, but the doctor and his staff put me at ease and made my experience a very pleasant and enjoyable one. I highly recommend using Dr. DiBenedetto.
