“I had the chance to speak during the Mom & Me Taekwondo class and my nerves completely took over, so I wanted to properly say this now. 💙
As a mom with a full plate already, I honestly wasn’t sure what stepping onto the mat myself would add. After only 2 classes, I can already say taekwondo is so much more than physical training. It’s confidence, discipline, growth, and an outlet in ways I didn’t expect.
At first, I worried taking classes myself might somehow slow my son down from reaching his next belt color. Instead, it’s brought us together in a new way. Going home to practice and asking him for help has been such a special experience for both of us.
This experience has already reminded me how important it is to stop holding everything in and find positive ways to let things out. The support and positivity in the dojo made stepping outside my comfort zone easier than I expected.
To all the moms — if you get the opportunity to step on the mat beside your child, take it. What an incredible gift from the dojo. 💙”
