My teenage son wanted a perm for his mullet...his regular stylist doesn't do them so I googled places where I could get a perm and K's Hair Design came up. We decided to try it and made an appointment with Mary. Mary is a perm pro! My son's hair came out awesome and was EXACTLY what he wanted. I was super skeptical about the perm idea but it came out amazing. He's so happy and so am I! The curls look totally natural, are the perfect size, and fall exactly the way they should. Oh how I miss these girls. With the warmer weather coming, ‘‘tis my season to get more highlights! Kathy has taken my over processed hair and turned it into such healthy hair while managing to keep me a “natural blonde”! The staff is sooo friendly. They chat with everybody’s clients and are very accommodating. Let me also mention, especially essential at this time, the salon is always spotless-Kathy wouldn’t have it any other way! She truly takes responsibility for peoples wellness both inside and outwards. Can’t wait until I can make that appointment for a touch up/highlights. Really feel the need to sparkle and Kathy is the best for making that happen!

I've been going to K's for a few years now. To be honest, the men's barber shops that I've been to either don't listen to me when I say I want my hair long on top, and proceed to give me a buzz cut, or when they take out their scissors they make me look like Lloyd in D*** and Dumber. I've never had a bad experience at K's, they're always pleasant and do what I ask them to do. Also, $22 for a men's haircut at a salon is on the cheap side, especially on Long Island. Recently, I got a haircut from K's that I couldn't make look good for the life of me. It was what I asked for, but my hair just didn't fall the way I thought it would fall, regardless of what I did to it. So...read full review
