“When a 10-inch-wide tree lead came to rest on our roof—its thinner twigs and leaves cushioning a steady, sustained rumbling while its base remained precariously connected to the tree's trunk in a temporary, about-to-break way—I looked up to see what seemed like a guillotine blade poised above my home. Cook's Tree Service arrived fast—I was told that a local, family business, around since 1969, has earned its reputation to come fast for situations like this with highly trained workers—and what followed was like watching a heart transplant from an operating room balcony: Ron Jacoby, high up in the cherry-picker bucket, wielding his chainsaw like a brain surgeon's scalpel, team members Jeff, TJ, and Devin moving below in perfect harmony like a Swiss watch, only noisier. Ron led with grace under fire while I watched, helpless, wondering if we'd be homeless. In the end, another contractor (my roof expert) found only one shingle needed repair. Cook's did it all at a reasonable price. Surgery: successful. Home: saved.”

“We can’t say enough good things about John’s Tree Service. Originally we got an estimate to trim and shape our beautiful sunburst locust tree which had become overgrown and heavy. Out of three estimates, John’s was the most reasonable. In the interim before the trimming, a heavy storm caused a large limb to fall into our front yard. They came with equipment that chopped up that branch quickly! Then Steve operated a lift which carried him to all parts of the tree as he trimmed dead branches and reshaped the huge tree being respectful of our ideas about how we wanted our tree to look. It was fascinating to watch him maneuvering the lift AND using a chain saw.
The crew did a super job with the clean up.
