After getting some quotes from other reputable companies to tear up my 1885 Douglas fir flooring that i had uncovered under some carpet in my house, I found Bob from upstate hardwood. He came right away for an in person quote, and got right to work. The tedious work for the small area we were looking to do was not too much for him, and I was shocked that Bob & Mike finished the job in 3 days!! They worked all day to get the job done quickly for me as I have 3 young children and it blocked off a large portion of our house. 100%I feel so lucky to have had Bob Trzaska and Jim Denka of Upstate Hardwood Floors refinish the floors of 3 large rooms of my house. They had to deal with getting very large furniture, armoires, sideboards, cabinets, desks, chairs, tv, rugs, wall hanging, a grand piano, and curtains, all moved or protected. I asked for a clear, water-based finish, which meant that they had to sand painstakingly, apply a perfect layer of the treatment, allow it to dry, buff it, then start all over again, for three layers. They did a fabulous job. (Wish I could attach my lictures to this!) They even have a specialized dust removal device that works! Only thing is, now I have to have... read full review
