When we rescued our pup (malinois/bernedoodle mix) in October, it was the first time we had a puppy, let alone a large breed puppy (at 6 months he is already 62 pounds). Admittedly I didn’t know enough of what I was getting into, and mistakingly expected this experience would be as laid back as that of our prior rescue of 12 years. I was wrong and quickly realized I would need help. Our friend/neighbor who has had 2 German Shepard’s highly recommended Anne and Good Dog Pet Training. In fact, while a 20 minute ride from our home, Anne was a perfect fit to help me and worth the drive!! Good Dog Pet Training is the best! My dog has been coming to GDPT for two years for group training, day training and boarding. We are much happier here than the previous training school we went to. Anne and her team are excellent! We work primarily with Nikki and Jillian and both help my little guy, and me, so much! I see progress with his reactivity and he’s very happy here. It’s a positive environment with great energy! The day training program is fantastic! All teams members we connect with are great-friendly, helpful and supportive. Good Dog Pet Training is just the best! I have been working with them for over 2 years with my golden retriever. It is clear from the second you walk through the doors that everyone there truly loves their jobs and the dogs they work with! Group classes are a great place to learn new skills and practice old ones in a safe and welcoming environment. It can be really nerve-wracking leaving your pet with someone else... from daycare to boarding, I always know my dog is in the best hands! Anne and her team are highly trained, knowledgeable and my dog goes in with a wagging tail excited to see his favorite people.
