The staff at Marbletown Animal Hospital are so thoughtful and kind. They were very welcoming and handled my cat/cat issues with extreme care. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone :)

After five years of wonderful care we sadly had to leave. This is not a locally owned or vet-owned practice. Marbletown AH is owned by a private equity group out of EU that owns many different vet practices, which means that you'll likely experience what I did. My cat was a patient here for five years, she was recently seen by a different vet, who recommended a surgery that went wrong and performed procedures I did not approve, and then never returned three emergency texts and calls, nor apologized for a number of issues that put my cat in jeopardy.
Which led me to complain and raise a number of issues; which led me to discover this is not my local queer inclusive accountable vet but actually a part of A CHAIN and just another capitalistic infrastructure that has zero local accountability to the animals and people that trust them. Woodstock and Argos are still locally owned. Go here at your own risk
**Update: MAH escalated this to the corporate entity that owns them, who outsourced it to a claims specialist to assess risk of lawsuit. There was low risk assessed, so therefore no apology, accountability, or restitution. Instead of anybody there just saying “ We are so sorry for your experience “I’m talking to a guy Named James who’s running statistical analysis and how much it’s gonna cost them to not apologize.**

The support staff and Drs. are always so considerate and professional. We got a signed card from the entire staff after we euthanized our cat. Was a very sweet gesture. Dr. Gerson always explained everything and left us to make our own decisions.

I had a positive experience in the past but my last visit felt like they were trying to make as much money off of us as possible. For example, I brought up some infrequent ear scratching that has been happening maybe once a day and asked if this is normal. They suggested a $65 test but then they couldn’t get enough ear debris to do the test and said it was fine when they looked in the ear, but they still charged us for the test.
