Davenport is great most of the time, however on this visit, they were stellar. A special shoutout to young Eli. My wife stopped by to pick up fresh strawberries with my adult daughter. During her shopping, she set her wallet down and promptly forgot it in the shoppe. My daughter paid for the fruit and my spouse didn't notice until much later. The wallet contained the cash receipts from our candy store for the weekend. Thank gosh for everyone at Davenport including Eli who found and turned in the wallet to management. Even without this deed, we shop there for fresh fruit, but now we are cemented!
I have frequented Davenport since I was a kid and took my own kids every fall to get pumpkins. Their produce is wonderful, baked goods are delicious and in the fall...the apple cider donuts are an absolute must = D
As a local resident, I know that I can rely on Davenport 's to help stock my needs whenever I turn to their farmer's market on Cottekill Rd. This week's save was a dozen apple cider doughnuts to share with family. Yum!
