Fresh Kills Barbershop

I took my grandson to see Gi at Fresh Kills and Gi was absolutely amazing with him. The haircut was adorable, but the experience was so pleasant and easy. We booked and paid on line, and Gi was ready when we arrived. Gi was beyond patient and warm. If you have ever taken a 362 day old for a haircut, you know it can go wrong quickly, but our experience today was completely right. It’s so nice to have a child-friendly shop on the north shore and not have to schlep to the Outerbridge area.

I never thought I could be emotionally moved in a barber shop. My son is 4 and has a sensory issue to buzzers, so much that we haven’t cut his hair in months. Marvin was truly impressive in how he earned his trust. He went from scared and crying, to allowing him to use the buzzer! He took well over 30 mins of his time to get him to let his guard down but it worked! I feel like I witnessed a miracle. I highly recommend this barber shop in general, but Marvin just got himself a customer for lifeService: Kids' cuts

Wonderful, clean & professional. Our son turned one and we are so happy we brought him to Fresh Kills for his first cut. First, we called to check availability and they mentioned we had to make an appointment through booksy. So we did. When we arrived I noticed the decor was aesthetically pleasing! It's very modern & classy. I can tell they focused on a lot of detail. Second, Mike gave our son the perfect and effortlessly haircut. He was super gentle with him . The clippers he used where very quiet and did not startle our son. The final touch, was a Certificate of his first haircut, that includes a lock of his hair on it!
