I've been getting my hair cut at Astors for many years, I usually call ahead to check if David's working that day . He's very personable and does excellent work. It took a bit of time to get comfortable with his practice of a hot towel and a brisk scalp massage all included with my standard cut . But now I actually look forward to it , I find it most relaxing. All the staff are always pleasant and have all been working at Astors for many years , which speaks volumes to a consistent level of service. In the event that David's not available and I really need a cut urgently I can always count on Gail to do a exceptional job , minus the towel and scalp massage.
This is the finest establishment in all of Staten Island for someone to get a classic barbershop haircut. I have been visiting David for almost 30 years. Haircut is always perfect, he listens to your requests, and treats your head better than his own. It's always clean. Regular customers are treated as royalty, and many first time visitors are always around.
Mario has been cutting my sons hair since he's 1 and he's 18 and away at college now. He still waits until he gets home to wait for Mario. He's the greatest!!!!Service: Haircut
