If you know me, you know how frugal I can be. I am especially frugal when it comes to hair. My hair is curly and fine, and I'm hardly every happy with the cuts that I get. I think its just a difficult type of hair to style. That being said, I've had budget cuts, moderately expensive cuts and very expensive cuts in past, and I have always been equally dissatisfied. So what I look for now is a straightforward, cheap and decent cut. I got a $17 haircut and my eyebrows waxed for $5 or $6. It was cut by a lovely lady from Mexico, Maria, who was very chatty and sweet. She even threw in a conditioning treatment for free at the end. And, she had curly hair, so she gave me all sorts of suggestions on how to treat my hair, and which creams to buy and where to buy them (CVS, Beauty Supply store). I appreciated that she wasn't trying to sell me anything nor upgrade my haircut by pushing me to do more costly treatments, which is has usually been my experience elsewhere. If you want a fancy spa experience, you should go somewhere else. If you are looking for a straightforward cut at a very decent price go here.
