Our project had many iterations, and the final product ended up being the perfect implementation of a vision Sue and Don made a reality! I think they were the third architect group we finally ended up with as the other groups were a bit dogmatic and not collaborative unlike Sue and Don! They were always very open to our suggestions even going to local stores to look at some of the fixtures we thought would work!
Sue and Don were a pleasure to work with. Building during the pandemic required everyone to be flexible and resourceful. Sue and Don had great ideas to start with, but more importantly, they were available promptly to our contractor or to us when questions or challenges arose. They were trusted voices whether our concerns were aesthetics, structural issues, or which finishes would be easier to maintain. Both Sue and Don are good listeners and resourceful partners for your project.
We worked with SD Atelier Architecture LLC to design expanded space on the first floor of our home to facilitate single floor living as we age. Their design recommendation both surprised and excited us, as it was an approach we had never considered and it exceeded our expectations.During the process, Sue and Don Davis worked closely with our project manager to finalize design and to complete the project construction well ahead of schedule.
