If you’re in the Lake Placid area and looking for spa services, THIS is the spa to go to! It’s the best one in the area from my experience and worth the 15 minute drive from mirror lake/lake placid. My husband and I had a couples deep tissue message with complimentary cupping done by Kenzie and Stephanie and they were phenomenal! The spa provides a relaxing atmosphere with ambiant lighting and a huge selection of Harney and Sons teas. There’s a huge steam room and wonderful rainfall showers in the women’s locker room with lots fabulous smelling products to use and everything was really clean. Everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make this experience special.

Kenzy was awesome, very concerned about my needs/wishes. It was both therapeutic & completely relaxing. The spa is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. The steam room was a great way to finish.

Be aware that the quality of therapists can vary. I went in for a couples massage and, while my partner had a great experience, mine was disappointing. I’ve had deep tissue massages at several other places over the years, and this was the most underwhelming. I came in with pain in my right shoulder and unfortunately left with the same discomfort.

I was visiting town for a friend’s baby shower and decided to treat myself. Walking through the doors, I was immediately relaxed and could tell this was going to be a special experience. I loved the Great Camp vibe, it smelled incredible, and every detail went above and beyond. The receptionist was very accommodating and led me to the locker room. It is a chic and clean facility with everything you need from a hair wand to razors and shaving cream. There was a full body shower and a steam room which I was free to enjoy prior to, between, and after my services. This trip was some much deserved me time, but the locker room would definitely be spacious enough for a girls’ day. My massage therapist Kenzie was very knowledgeable and helpful with my trouble areas, and my aesthetician Kristin was friendly and left me glowing! After my treatment, I lounged in the relaxation room with a fireplace, infused ice water, and herbal teas. Ampersand Spa was the perfect escape—definitely on par with competitive luxury hotels in Lake Placid. I look forward to returning on my next visit to Saranac Lake!

Went here with my partner. I'm not much of a spa person but she was getting a massage and I just wanted to tag along. I was able to get a day pass and enjoy the steam room and sanctuary while she got her massage. Great steam room and relaxing sanctuary. Everything was very clean and peaceful. Staff was so kind and fantastic. My partners therapeutic massage was also great. Perfect little winter escape. I live locally and am considering a membership for the winter months.... Maybe I'm a spa person now?

Stopped in with my daughter for a mini spa day. We both had great massages and facials, Melissa was an outstanding therapist, as was Kristin and Jen at the front desk made everything happen seamlessly. That and the fact the ambiance of the spa was relaxing, tranquil and smelled just like am amazing spa should! Loved it so much, we are trying to go back for another massage!

I recently had an 80 minute custom massage with Steph. I went for a late Mother’s Day gift and every minute was incredible. The spa itself is so welcoming with an instant feeling of calm. Steph was very thorough in addressing all of my concerns. Her technique is by far one of my favorite massages I’ve ever had! 10/10 highly recommend booking with Steph if you’re a Mom who needs a bit of zen!
