Outstanding job by Greg, his son and team from Alden Wood Floors! Stripped and refinished my formal and family rooms. Had quite a few nasty spots and 35 years of wear. Greg worked his magic with the sander and buffer and they literally look like new - topped it off with a beautifully smooth stain finish! Would highly recommend Alden Wood Floors to all. We engaged Greg Alden to install hardwood flooring in two rooms and restore hardwood floor in kitchen. The project went extremely well. The new floors, as well as the refinished floor in the kitchen match seamlessly with the existing 25 year old floors in the rest of the house. Old carpets were removed and new boards installed in two bedrooms and two walk-in closets. Alden Floor Service removed the heavy pieces of furniture from the room, supplied the 2 1/4 select red oak boards, cut the boards to fit, covering an area of 400 sq ft, which were then sanded, stained with a golden oak stain, then sanded and finished with three coats of Polyethylene, with one coat applied per day. Over the same time period, they sanded the kitchen floor (100 sq ft) down to bare wood, including the pantry, and refinished the floor in the same manner as the new wood installed in the bedrooms. They then returned and moved the heavy pieces of furniture back in place. We couldn't be more pleased with the result.

Greg did a terrific job. He added two new bedroom floors. He got them to match perfectly with my 22-year old hallway floor. He was on time and helpful. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
