I closed on my new home this morning, and I can't say enough good things about my Keller Williams Realty agent Pam Henning. She was extremely easy to work with, and always looking out for my best interest. Pam was there when I called about a question, or a home I might be interested in. A few times she was in South Florida looking after her ailing mother, but Pam was still very easy to reach. Pam always had a positive and upbeat attitude, and down to earth quality, that I found helped the process of finding a home in my limited price range really enjoyable. This may sound like sour grapes. After several days of trying to get a response to our offer to buy a home listed by this agency, we were told we had an agreement in principle. After completing a formal offer and sending it over, we were informed that the seller was unwilling to sign the offer. We were told this was not abnormal, and should order a home inspection, which took place three days later. Less than two days after the home inspection was completed, we were told the seller had accepted a cash offer from another buyer. As a result we are now out the cost of the inspection, and have no recourse. I'm not sure if the agent (Kathy Buchanan) is guilty of negotiating in bad faith, or if the seller is just a clown, but this is very unsettling. I would be extremely wary of working with this agency and this agent in any real estate transaction.
