About Flower City Arts Center
The Flower City Arts Center is a community-based not-for-profit organization that has been educating, encouraging, and inspiring people to create and enjoy the arts since 1970. Located in an historic firehouse, the center offers programs in three visual arts areas: Printmaking & Book Arts, Ceramics, and Photography & Digital Arts. The center provides facilities for studio artists and hosts youth programs, classes, and workshops for community members of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds. Visitors to the center's galleries can enjoy the work of talented local artists, and the friendly staff and volunteers create a welcoming atmosphere. While the center's ceramics program has received some mixed reviews, with some students reporting issues with lost or damaged pieces, the overall feedback is positive. Visitors to the Flower City Invitational exhibition praised the beautiful artwork and the friendly, hospitable environment.
My family went to an art opening here and loved every minute of it. The building is interesting, and the art was compelling. So many artists' work was on display. There is even an elevator so my mother could get upstairs safely.
My son and my nephew taking art classes for free thanks to a program between flower city and their school. It’s awesome. They are very polite and respectful. My sister and I are very happy with the program and the tutors.
Took a beginner wheel throwing class here and had a great experience! Learned and lot and had fun doing so. Covid hit towards the end of the class session and 1 or 2 of the final classes were cancelled and we were told we would be refunded for those cancelled classes. I never received my refund even after leaving multiple voice messages.
