Solid spot for a massage. Now that my favorite local place closed, I've been trying new businesses to see if I can find my replacement. I did like my first visit as this place was very neat, clean and inviting. The rooms were dimly lit and immaculate. Towels were plush and soft. I'll return again just to see if another masseuse is better and to see if it's consistent. Lily was my masseuse this visit and she was well versed in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. At first she was a little chatty which I didn't mind - getting to know me/her, always makes the visit go much more smoothly. The best part of the one hour massage besides the pricing, was that Lily made good use of the hot stones during my massage. Every person uses the stones differently and she was really good with using them. She had rolled them up and down my back and concentrated more on my lower back which I was experiencing pain (from sitting too much I'd imagine). She worked on my knots and my lower back for a good half hour before busting out the hot stones. She also did a good job with cracking my knuckles. Guess my hands were so stiff from all the typing I do. My only issue with the visit was her having to leave the room - twice. Both times to get a hot towel/the stones, etc. I would have preferred things in the room so that there's little interruption during the treatment. She followed instructions well and was very pleasant. Also, one note - the room I was in had a viewing window in the door. Not 100% sure why they designed it like that but I know why I didn't like it. For privacy reasons as I need to strip down to my skivvies, it lacked privacy in the event if someone had walked by. I huddled into a corner of the room to get undressed and dressed but all the while nervous to be seen. That's a little stressful in itself.
