The old skylight was removed, the opening was inspected, and a taller curb was built before the replacement was installed. Surrounding roofing and flashing were integrated as one assembly instead of treated as separate repairs. Some interior trim cracked during removal and was repaired afterward. The room receives clearer light! Happy with the process and result
The old chimney flashing had been buried beneath several layers of roof cement. They removed the buildup, replaced the surrounding shingles, and installed proper step and counterflashing. A little mortar dust was left on the deck below, but it was easy to sweep up. The repair was competitively priced and the ceiling stain has not returned.
A week after our roof was finished, I noticed one ridge-cap shingle sitting slightly higher than the others. It may not have been a serious problem, but once I saw it, I couldn’t stop looking at it. I sent a picture and someone came back to secure it.
That response mattered to me because the rest of the replacement had already gone smoothly. They removed the aging three-tab shingles, repaired a soft area near the bathroom vent, and installed architectural shingles with a new ridge vent.
