The Blank Slate NY is a private tattoo studio where the artist, Elva, provides an incredible and amazing experience. The vibes are always chill, comfortable, and wonderful in the studio, making clients feel like they are hanging with a great friend. Elva is a super talented and knowledgeable tattoo artist, skilled and professional, yet also modest and awesome. She is understanding, quick, and precise in her work. From the first contact, the service is excellent. Communication is constant, professional, and thorough, with quick responses to all emails and questions, often within 24 hours. The artist is accommodating with scheduling and notifications. The experience is great for everyone, including first-timers and introverts, creating a great surrounding where time flies by. Clients are left happy, impressed, and hooked, cherishing their original pieces and eager to return for more work. The overall experience is absolutely wonderful, providing the best of the best.
I came in to get a tribute piece for my parents done by Elva. From the consultation to the day I got tattooed, she has always been in constant contact with me. Even when it was supposed to snow on the day of the appointment, she made sure to message me the day before so if need be I can make accommodations. She is absolutely understanding and her art is amazing. My experience in the shop is absolutely wonderful for an introvert such as myself. It was a great surrounding, and the vibes from Elva makes you feel like you've reunited with a great friend. When I had questions about my tattoo aftercare, she answered me quickly. She was quick and precise in doing the tattoo, and as a woman of color, she never made me feel like I couldn't get a design I wanted on my body, especially with color added to it. She's extremely knowledgeable and as long as you have an open mind, and not stubborn during conversation, the time will fly right on by. I was actually sad to leave even though the session was over. As a fellow nerd, gamer, anime lover- it was a great experience. If I could give her 10 stars, I would.
Elva is so funny and down to earth. Love talking to her when I’m getting my tattoo. And the atmosphere is very welcoming :)
Elva has a great sense of humor and does phenomenal work. I will never get a tattoo done by anyone else since going to her. She takes pride in all of her work and you can tell. I recommend The Blank Slate to everyone.
