We brought our cat here for a coughing problem. They immediately started to ask for 92030 exams that made no sense like blood work, radiography, Xray, and told us they needed it to prescribe meds, YET they tried to sell us prescriptions even when we refused to spend all the money and after doing some exams. They tried to ask for other exams too to spend even more for what we know now just being simple asma. Not to talk about their sensitivity and empathy towards animals, which is less than 0. Please never bring your pet here. They just charge you for nothing (900$!!!) without context if you are not prepared. Just bad and sad.

The he treatment my two pups received here is top-notch! I highly recommend taking your furry friends here, friendly folks with big hearts <3

Manuela Suarez is an extraordinary veterinarian, always taking care of my dog and giving the best advice. Without a doubt, it’s the place to go in the Upper East Side.

I had a less than pleasant experience.
My kitten had an accident at the vet while he was in the back and on exam table. The doctor was kind and helped clean up my furry friend. However, the nurse used my blanket to clean up the mess he made instead of a different material like the wee-wee he handed the kitten back in. He obviously tried to clean up the kitten but just wet his paws and butt without removing all the fecal matter. He had wet the kitten when there was wipes in the exam room and it was raining outside. We were also left in the room with soiled paper towels that made the room smell horrendous. We had to go to the front desk to ask for a trash can. All in all I don’t think I will be going back.

Absolutely above and beyond. Fit me in for a same day appointment (even though I’ve moved out of Manhattan, and hadn’t been in years) to see my dog who is having issues with her tongue. Super thorough and resourceful. I love both the Doctors. My dog says it’s worth the trip into the city :)

STAFF AMAZING, shout out to Dr.Meltzer!! She has gone far and beyond to make sure my cat has everything needed for international travel. The office, the staff and treatment is top tier. I will always recommend One Love animal hospital. I am moving internationally but would have stayed always with this staff !! Thank you again for all that you do for our furry babies ??

I've trusted One Love Animal Hospital with my dog's care for 8 years since moving here, but my experience, especially with Dr. Meltzer, has left me deeply disappointed and worried. When my dog first fell ill at 5 years old, Dr. Meltzer struggled to diagnose her properly. She has repeatedly referred us to specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, and nutrition over the years because she couldn't interpret basic blood test results herself.

What frustrated me most was Dr. Meltzer's insistence on separate appointments for follow-up questions, even for ongoing issues we'd already discussed. It felt like a tactic to charge more rather than genuine concern for my dog's health. Other vets I've seen have never made me jump through these hoops.

Recently, during my dog's routine check-up, Dr. Meltzer completely missed a lump on her hip. Our new vet later confirmed it was concern for cancer. If Dr. Meltzer had caught it earlier, maybe it would have been easier to treat. I reached out to Dr. Meltzer by email, pouring out my concerns, but received no response. I also tried calling Ozzie, the manager, multiple times, but after close to two months, I'm still waiting for a call back.

It's heartbreaking to think that at One Love Animal Hospital, profit seems to matter more than our pets' well-being. If you cherish your dog like family, I urge you to find a different vet. My trust in this practice is shattered.
