I had been the patient of a gynecology practice that I despised for over ten years. The reason? I hadn't been able to find better...until today. I had asked friends for their recommendations and their favorite gyno was either too far or didn't take my insurance. The walk in gyno has several locations and one is actually a 15 minute walk from me. Unfortunately that location does not accept my insurance. Yesterday, I made a spur of the moment change. I was experiencing a health issue and was very stressed about it, so I was referred to Walk in Gyn in Manhattan. I was seen by Kimberly Harrison, as well as several other people at the office (ultrasound tech, nurses, etc) and I honestly had a really great experience. I was there for a really long time, so I'm definitely glad I cleared my schedule, but they did like every test I could imagine would be done for this. I was really happy about that as it made me feel much better. She was also very accommodating as I told her I had anxiety during pelvic exams, and she talked me through each step. 5 stars! Def going back!

As other reviews have stated, the wait time was long even though I had an appointment first thing in the morning. I waited almost 40 minutes. I found out only after I had asked, that it was because they were confirming with my insurance. It would probably be helpful to explain that to new patients when they check in to provide clarity on the wait time. I was also confused by the mandatory urine sample. There is absolutely no way I am pregnant. I explained that to the front desk, and they still ran the test and billed my insurance. Despite those small hiccups, I really enjoyed my appointment with my NP. She was kind, knowledgeable and thorough and I didn't feel rushed...read full review
