Joey was very accommodating. I just walked in off the street, and he took me right away. He just opened a few days before. Joey shows Afghans and you could really see his love for dogs. Scupper got the best grooming ever!

Joey is such a caring and expert groomer. I brought my small terrier mix that I rescued a week ago and Joey discovered that her nail tips had grown into her paws and he relieved her pain and transformed her I can tell she can’t wait to return. Thanks, Joey!

It's hard to find a groomer that will take and know how to handle a senior dog. We called royal dogs and received an appointment that same day. The groomer was so nice, even made sure to ask if we had a sweater for pickup as it was cold and our dog was getting a very short cut. Our 17 yr old pup can be difficult and does not like to be groomed but the groomer was able to do everything we asked. He groomed him in an hour and when I arrived my dog was laying calmly away from any larger dogs and happy as can be which is not his normal high anxiety behavior. I'm really happy to have found royal dogs and will definitely go back!

My cat was groomed by Joey who was great. He was ready for my cat at scheduled time, and he called me 10mins earlier than estimated time that he'd be done. He was really nice and thoughtful of my cat and how I wanted my cat to be groomed. I'd be back again.

It was my first time taking my dog there. The groomer was very sweet and you can tell loves dogs , Archie was very calm when I picked him up. Very happy with the groom. Will be coming back !

Hands down the best groomer in the city! My dog is difficult when it comes to nail trims and all groomers have to use a muzzle to get the job done, not Joey though. He took the time to build rapport with my dog and trimmed his nails without a muzzle. Joey took such good care of our dog. I can’t recommend this shop enough. Your pet is in great hands with Joey.

Update: Sadly, we stopped using Royal Dogs over the last two years given the business is hardly ever open, scheduling is clunky, and Joey seems to have stepped away materially from what was a budding business.I cannot say enough about Joey and The Royal Dogs. We have a golden retriever and shih tzu, both of whom he does an amazing job with. He knows what he’s doing and he genuinely loves dogs (just look at his gorgeous afghan hound who hangs around the studio!). Our shih tzu in particular is terrified of being groomed but she always seems to come back home happy instead of napping for hours afterward from the stress. Awesome job, Joey!

The best groomer my dog has been to! I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try out a new dog groomer. She came back looking amazing, and was in a great mood when I came to pick her up. You can tell they really love dogs there, will be bringing her back :)
