Terry is incredibly kind, talented, and professional. I brought my dress to three different tailors before him and they all told me the job was not doable and rushed me out. Then I came across Terry who made it happen and with a very quick turnaround! The end result was really great and I am so happy I found this hidden gem! Can’t recommend highly enough!!!!
In general, I’ve been happy with the service. However, I brought a few vintage items in - Armani linen pants, a 70s wool top - and after being dry cleaned, the zippers are now very tough to zip. I’m assuming the chemicals in the dry cleaning process permanently damaged the functionality which is quite disappointing. I wish more care had been taken to avoid applying the chemicals to the vintage zippers which cannot handle the same chemical treatment newer zippers can.
I came to Terry’s on 72nd after seeing his glowing Google reviews. I had just bought a dress last minute for my Carnegie Hall debut and it needed to be altered. The straps shortened, a leg slit closed, and the ruffled hem shortened, too. This was no small task and Terry did it for me in 4 days, just in time for the concert! The dress looked stunning thanks to Terry, and I can’t thank him enough. I would recommend his work to anyone, he is talented, professional, fairly priced and KIND!I will come back to him for alterations any time I’m in the city!!!
