I received a very good classic men's facial from Amy. She did quite a few extractions which she did without causing any damage to my skin. When the treatment ended my face felt very clean and smooth.

So i flew in with a group of 5 girls on a redeye from California and we were EXHAUSTED. The hotel couldn’t check us in for a couple hours so we found this spot to get a massage while we wait. Bless their soul, the opening lady came to 5 straggglers outside her spa and immediately called in 3 more masseuse to take care of us. The massage was quite literally out of this world and they take their time on you. The atmosphere was so peaceful and the ladies were the sweetest people ever. For $80 this was more than worth it. I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting NY or just wants a nice massage

Had the 60 min massage and it was such an amazing first massage experience. I am more of a ticklish person but the lady who did my massage understood immediately and made sure to go slow. 🙏💗 Would definitely come back!

Tips are a very big issue with this Spa. The people who work here hate 20 percent tips. Let's say you get a two hour massage. The total will be around approximately 200 dollars.
The 20 percent tip would be 40 dollars but the management/ front desk person and the person who massaged you will force you to pay 60 to 70 percent tip and if you do not pay 60 to 70 percent tip then they will scold you and will not massage you well next time.

Do not go to Spa 56. I tipped 20% and the spa director still pressured me to tip more, repeatedly asking if I could add more on my card. It was uncomfortable and honestly humiliating.
I booked through Groupon and they also added a “service tax” at the end that wasn’t clearly explained. The so-called Korean body scrub was sloppy and nothing like an authentic Korean scrub. The room wasn’t even properly stocked — the lotion bottle was nearly empty.
Terrible service, aggressive tipping pressure, and not worth the money. Save your time and go somewhere else.

first off, a couples massage here costs about $80 per person, when you can walk a few blocks in Times Square and get the same service for $50–$55. that alone should’ve been a red flag, but we were already there and decided to go through with it anyway. the massage itself was fine, nothing that made us think “this is our spot.” it did the job in the moment and that was it.
what happened afterward is the real issue. we left what we believed was a generous tip, only for the owner to suck her teeth and tell us it wasn’t enough. she then physically grabbed my bf by the arm in an attempt to stop him from leaving. i could not believe she did that! that is literally assault! and completely inappropriate!
she then pointed to a sign stating there was an additional service percentage fee on top of their already inflated prices, something that was never explained or brought to our attention before the massage. when I voiced this concern, she became condescending and argumentative instead of professional.
my bf and I had just finished long work shifts and wanted to treat ourselves to a spontaneous, relaxing experience. instead, we were left mortified, stressed, and honestly shaken by how aggressive and money-hungry this place turned out to be. i would never waste my time or hard-earned money coming back here!
